A chronicle of our lives. One day, maybe a book...

Ni Hao!

La-La, Sadie and Titus left for China on April 1st. Justin had to be in China by February 28, so he had left before La and the kids. La stayed behind to finish packing up the house, sell the house and tie up the loose ends. She came up to Fort Worth to stay with Mom and Dad once the house sold, and everything was taken care of in the Woodlands. She wanted to stay until at least Macey was born. Mom flew over there with her to help her with the kids on the flight, as well as help her acclimate to life in China. Since I had a c-section, I needed Mom's help for at least two weeks after Macey was born, so La-La had to wait for Mom's services until that two weeks was up. Mom has had a stressful couple of months! We tried to spend as much time as we could with La and the kids before they left, because we're not sure how soon we will be able to see them again. With little ones, they will all grow up so much before we get to see each other again! That's why it's so great that there are websites like Facebook and shutterfly. It's like a window into our loved one's lives, even from halfway across the globe.

Macey is growing so fast, and she is the best baby ever! She loves to sleep, and when she is awake, she loves being held and cuddled. Mikayla loves her little sister, and she always wants to help do everything for Macey. I sometimes have to tell Mikayla to leave her little sister alone, which I hate to say to her. I don't want Mikayla to think that I care about Macey more than I care for her, it's just that Mikayla can be so rough with a newborn baby!
