Birthday Weekend & Easter

Mikayla is three! Her birthday was on Easter Sunday, so we had an Easter egg hunt birthday party for her on Saturday. We invited friends and their kids. We ate Dickey's barbeque, and we colored Easter eggs. Adam played the role of the Easter Bunny, and all the kids had a great time hunting the Easter eggs! Mikayla had a Dora themed birthday cake, and she made sure to tell everyone about her Dora cake. It was slightly overwhelming to throw a three-year old's birthday party with a newborn, but I made it out alive!

Adam's dad and step-mom were in town as well, so we had a lot of fun visiting with them. Grandfather played chalk with Mikayla out on the driveway, and she absolutely had a blast. They enjoyed the kids, and Mikayla loves her Grandfather and Grandma Mary. She won't stop talking about them. I think Grandfather and Grandma Mary were both more tired when they arrived home than when they arrived here. On Mikayla's actual birthday, we all went to church for the Easter service, then we went to Genghis Grill for lunch. Needless to say, I think Mikayla had a wonderful third birthday weekend!
